Different social and cultural events for disabled residents of the city take place throughout the year.
Passover - Every year Shalheveth organizes a communal Seder for about 50 disabled people and their guests. The Seder takes place in a nice hotel with a warm and family-like atmosphere. This event is one the highlights of our activities.
The Jerusalem Parliament of Disabled Adults - Four times a year, dozens of disabled adults meet at The Jerusalem Parliament of Disabled Adults to discuss their special problems in a friendly and supportive atmosphere and to plan cultural activities for the year.
Trips in Israel - Shalheveth offers several trips in Israel suitable to disabled people who are bound to wheelchairs.
Trips abroad - Since 1987, Shalheveth has organized 17 annual trips to Europe for severely disabled adults. Approximately 15 adults participate each time in this two week trip which is most often their only opportunity to visit abroad. This incredible trip serves to increase self-esteem and provides people with a new energy to continue forward.
